I miss…

·        Waking up from the afternoon naps to the ridiculously irritating yahoo messenger audibles , especially the one which went ‘Hello! Hello! Anybody there? Echo!’

·        Playing xonix while listening to blaring music for 2 hours at a stretch.

·        Playing text twist for the next two hours.

·        Watching ‘ TOW Ross’s Sandwich’ for the nth time while munching on Kurkure Chatpata chaska.

·        The walk to the CC at 3 A.M. for taking printouts for the next day’s submission (followed by not finding enough paper and then running around, begging for the same

·        Mass messaging ‘ Ppl, any good movies?’ on yahoo at 4 A.M.

·        Synchronizing and playing the same song along with the other C- bottom residents, not for any resonance effect, but plainly for noise.

·        Staying up the entire night, to watch the sunrise, knowing you would never wake up early enough for the same.

  1. Playing text twist for the next two hours.
Aha! so that’s how you managed to squeak past us! 😛
    …but plainly for noise.
    What? I wasn’t enough?
Staying up the entire night, to watch the sunrise
Funny! I would have put it as watching the sunrise; a result of having stayed awake all night!

  2. – ‘Squeaked past’??? If I am not wrong, isn’t the ‘us’, the G hostel team? Dude, remember the margin??
    – Well, with you dedicating all your noise to hostels other than C, we tried competing 🙂
    – I stand corrected , even I should have put it like that 😀

  3. Is that all you miss?!!!
    What you forgot —-
Those shouts and abuses from the one above for all that music we created (rightly said not resonance at all)???
The banging on each other’s door till the neighbours woke up but not the person you are trying to?
The time one took to decide whether to go to class or not and finally listening to what the neighbour says; afterall it’s a democracy and the majority always win, doesn’t it?
The conversations in the balcony ranging from hair texture to placements to subjects one should have not taken?
The long difficult decisions about bathing, whether it was after oiling the hair or before; not that it made a difference?
Those quick decisions about going around and spreading havoc in other hostels after aliens from B world destroyed the peace of our own residence?
The resolutions made day in and day out about how today we are going to make everything different from yesterday, except that today continues to tomorrow (hmm .. maybe because of the sunrise)?
The long hours spent in the canteen deciding what different to eat and finally ordering for a maggi and cold coffee and walking away with chocolates (after fighting for some) which would help you stay up for the night?
    to name a few…..

i remember my attempts at ‘resonance’ … failed badly.. twice over.. he he … one of my various ‘projects’ marked for doom… as i look back at them, i wonder if subsequent batches at iimk will ever be wacky like us.. i jus wonder

  5. Re: Is that all you miss?!!!
The list actually does seem to be endless , and I am really glad it is so . Cause, each of it means yet another reason to smile and think of the awesome time we had the last two years !:-)( and obviously miss it more too, damn, everything seesm to be connected to some memory at k!!)

Considering the number of attempts at whackiness our batch made (whether successful or not), I don’t think ‘that’ is possible:))!

  7. Re: ….
hm.. waise these guyz had the ‘fresher’s party’ yesterday.. and vikhyat was sayign that the super junies (pgp09) are a bunch of extremely talent people. i dunno what exactly he was referring to .. anyways lets see.

Watching Friends at 5 A.M. just because there aint any interesting movie with you to watch instead.

The daily trek from the wilderness surounding G to the civilization called the classroom
Ha! Well, I never had to experience that, C was definitely the most convenient hostel to reside in!

You dont miss it means either you hated doing it or you still do it!! If its the latter, hope GE aint tht narrow minded abt dozing off as IDBI

Well, convenient it definitely was!! Made all you girls lazy while we had to rough it out wht with daily encounters with snakes, stumbling around in the darkness and of course the “gaddha” experience!!!

Hmmm… nothing like that, just that don’t seem to need it after sleeping for 9 staright hours every night :-), plus the 40 minute nap in the cab, makes up for all of it!

  12. AAhhh!!! sleeping in the “cab”. GE sure knows how to take care of its employees!!
Here I reach home at arnd 9 in the night after having fought to remain in one piece in the bus (the bus rides sure remind me of the Mumbai locals).

  13. Hmm, yeah, should give it to them for that, 24 hour transport facility, home pick ups and drops, Couldn’t ask for more really! BTW, me has experienced Hyd busses, they aren’t that bad !
